Work lead the to imunosupressive therapy
Hello everyone.
A bit of a back story. I am working at a big company in my country with a good pay. I got this job via my scholarship at the company which I need to work off or return the money (around 1,5 years left). I am in my late 20s and this is my first job. After a few months of things being ok, things took a turn for the worse. Things kept piling up (work load and stress wise). This firstly lead to my atopic dermatitis (AD) flairing up and couldnt control it with normal medication (steroid cream etc.). As a result I got wounds on my arms, palms, necks and face that wouldnt heal for weeks. My doctor perscribed me Imunosupressive therapy. In addition to this the work eviroment lead to burn out. At the point of writing this, I am on my medical leave (to decompress and recover from burn out) and taking the perscribed medication. After I don’t know how long, my AD is improving (but a tiny bit at a time).
I am left to wonder, is it worth it to continue working at the same post and go on this therapy several times a year and risk burn out. Returning the money isnt a problem. I am thinking of switching Job posts if that would help but I am sceptical if that is even an option (due to management). But if I am honest. I think, switching employers in general would be the best option, especially taking my health into consideration.
Thats why I am asking for your advice, how to continue in this situation?
Thanks
