Nikon F2 lens confusion

Hey I recently got this nikon F2 and I wanted to start shooting with it. I was told I needed to get lenses with bunny ears so that the light meter and aperture would work. From what I understand the bunny ears physically link up with the body to do that but mine doesn't. Now I'm just confused by it. Any advice?
