Don't kill other couriers if you're doing a delivery run yourself

Was doing a lockdown run on farm when I got ambushed by another player just 300m short of my last drop spot, he's not a courier so whatever loot he may get from my crate he can actually keep, so fair.

I fight back and manage to kill him but I took heavy damage and I need to heal, I climb up the turret to take the meds when suddenly another courier shows up and kills me.

What's difficult to understand that you don't get to keep the loot as a courier? So there's literally no point in engaging in a gunfight unless absolutely necessary.
