Can we as liberals appeal to folks in law enforcement or are they a lost cause that’s culture is too enmeshed in far right reactionary politics?

Just wondering if appealing to law enforcement folks is a lost cause? Overhearing them talk a lot of them seem to genuinely despise the public they're paid to serve.
