Group Strep C

45F with recent positive group strep c culture. Have had nagging sore throat, extreme fatigue/heavyness, fogginess for almost a week. I understand this strain is rare. Should I be concerned? How would I even contracted (seems more of an issue with animals)? As an aside, allergic to penicillin.
