Dogs pupils are suddenly different sizes
We came home today, noticed our dog found a pencil somewhere. He had chewed that up while we were gone, but it was all in the dog bed. He doesn’t ever swallow things, but he always looks for things to chew. Another thing that happened after we got home - he went over to the water bowl for a drink, acted startled after a moment and scurried away. When I heard him, I looked over and our cat was there. I thought maybe the cat smacked him because he wanted the water bowl.
After these things had happened, I then noticed his eye. His left pupil is small, a little cloudy, and he’s squinting in that eye.
I don’t know if any of those occurrences could be related to his eye. I don’t know what happened. We have one emergency vet near us. Not my favorite, but I will take him if it is the most recommended thing to do.
Or, if waiting until morning should be ok if he’s not acting different otherwise, I would rather do that and see our regular vet. What do you think? Is it an urgent situation for an emergency vet this evening?
