Which box cake can I use to flavor?

I want to flavor some cakes with apple and/or cookie butter flavoring. I want to use box cake as these are for cake pops and there’s already plenty of work to be done with cake pops so I’m trying to take as many shortcuts as possible. Would it be best to use white or yellow cake for these flavors?
