Just got bamboozled by a potential date

I met this girl on Hinge and was talking for 3 weeks now. We live far away so couldn't meet yet and she told she will be in my city coz her dad is very sick and admitted so I couldn't meet her then as well. We still continue texting btw. Today out of nowhere she says she went to a date with someone and they are going for another one as well. I replied it's good that things are going good for you and immediately deleted the contact. Guess I kept my hopes too high and gonna be having a bad mood for the rest of this month.
