A “blind” character, how would you handle this?

In an upcoming campaign I have a player who wants to have a blind character. I’m assuming it’s influenced by Daredevil, a marvel character who can’t see so instead gets by with massively heightened other skills. Flavor wise it sounds sweet.

Mechanically though I’m not sure how to do this since he wants to be a bard. There’s a lot of spells that just specify “a point you choose” (example; fireball) that he’ll still be able to cast. However there’s also a lot of spells that specify “that you can see” such as banishment which will no longer be usable.

Any ideas how to respond to this?
