Missing tooth on transmission gear. Still usable or replace?

Taking my motorcycle apart because my shift forks got too worn out to shift properly, inspecting the transmission and stumbled across this guy. No tooth when I emptied the oil pan, not even shards of metal so I’m not sure how long this has been here. Is this needing to be replaced or does it affect much if I just put it back? (On a tight budget).
