Is the simming feature broken?

I play practically all of the games in my career mode but sometimes I want to sim the match the progress the season. Every single game I sim I get stomped like 3-1. I don't have the best squad but my teams aren't any worse than the teams I'm simming against (sometimes better) and yet I can't get any favorable result.

Is it just me??
