2 questions about Khaki Field watches…

What is the sweet spot for the Khaki Field, quartz, mechanical or automatic?

To me it looks like mechanical but I’m no expert. Winding the watch every couple days doesn’t seem too bad.

Also what size of the Khaki Field watches would be best for an 8 inch wrist?
