Region lock?

I understand how all the players in the world are working on the same thing, which is awesome, I’m mostly here to post my frustration of joining Chinese lobbies (I work night shift) and 90% of the time at least one of them is cheating, and when we complete a 30 minute mission and they bug the game with a cheat/mod so the rescue ship comes early and which results in it being completely unable to pick us up, wasting all the samples we collected, it’s kinda really annoying. I’m sure this has probably been posted before, don’t use the app much, just wanted to complain, maybe hear about others experiences.
