Multiplayer Question on Xbox

Hi Friends,

I had a question regarding multiplayer on Xbox. If a friend hosts a session, does that same friend have to be online for me to continue that session?

If so, I'd love to request a feature to share saved games! Either the ability to rotate hosts or maybe dedicated server?
