2009 CX-9 Drive shaft bearing worn
We've been driving our CX-9 AWD for over 10 years, it's a 2009 model. During the annual check I got notice the drive shaft bearings are worn. After all those years wear was to be expected. So now the drive shaft is not lined-out anymore. Unfortunately there are no spare parts left (in the Netherlands). Mazda only supplies a full shaft, but has none in stock. And unfortately as loose parts bearings are not availabe.
Does anybody have experience with this problem (worn bearings)? And how to solve this without Mazda parts? Can this be custom made?
Update: The shaft was disassembled and yesterday we brought it to a specialized truck shaft revision company. They're able to repair it by cutting out the bad parts and welding new parts in together with new bearings. We'll be picking it up in less than a fortnight.
