Simply put, the Lakers signed Lebron James because they are in LA and no other reason.

Lebron pulls the strings and gets AD. A bunch of role players take team friendly contracts to join them every year.

Now you’ve got one of the future faces of the league which is costing you almost nothing.

It’s like they don’t need to try, star players just appear there every few years. I’m sort of tired of the Lakers man.
