persona 3 reload opening and crashing

so I bought persona 3 reload on steam but when I try to open it, it opens to a black screen for maybe 2 seconds and then closes the game for me. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game on different drives, running it in administrator and compatibility mode, disabling full screen optimisations, doing different things with the launch options in steam, updated my drivers and my pc and then restarted the pc. nothing has worked so far. I looked it up and in the past people have had the same issue but for theirs they had an unreal engine error message but mine says nothing. I'm not really sure what to do at this point and if anyone has any advice it would be greatly appreciated

EDIT : I did the most recent windows update as of 11/5 and that seemed to fix it!
