Delidding Alternative? Eraser Mod?

Hi everyone, I recently got a fatty and before doing anything I want to make sure that it's in good order. I bought new thermal paste and read about delidding. Where I'm comfortable applying new thermal paste and cleaning the console, delidding I'm not so sure about tackling on my own. Then I came across this,

Has anyone tried this? I was wondering how well this works or people's thoughts or experience on the topic. Tried it?
