Suggestion post on how to revamp the Oshur middle island bases and lattice to improve gameplay experience.
We know that Oshur was rushed, and its bases are unfinished. That much was said clearly in the streams back when it was launched, and that’s fine. It was encouraging that it was said that iterations would be made later on. As such I’ve been having a look into the bases on the middle island of Oshur with the intention of putting together a revised version of the bases which would hopefully take into account feedback on current designs, and improve the overall gameplay environment, enjoyability, and strategic balance of the region, without completely upending the overall structure and intentions.
For this I have consulted with other players, communities, and outfit leaders who I believe have a balanced variety of playstyles to try to get feedback on the current state of play and how best to correct some of the flaws in the current bases.
I am posting this to suggest these changes to the Devs, in the hopes that it may inform better base design for Oshur in any changes made to the continent in future to finish off and improve the map.
Please see the below pictures for the new central island lattice that I have put together to recommend, and individual diagrams for each base which I have felt might make for better designs. Some of these were really difficult to balance out properly, but hopefully you guys will find reasons to support these new layouts, they won’t be perfect but I’ve tried to make them as good as I can within the limits of the fundamentals of the area which I am working in.
