Reapplying for a Denmark Schengen Visa After a Rejection (Financial Insufficiency) – Should I Mention the Previous Refusal?

I previously applied for a Denmark Schengen visa, but my application was rejected under Reason 3 (financial insufficiency) because my bank account had a negative balance at the time. I am now preparing to reapply with a much stronger financial situation (stable income, sufficient savings, and supporting documents).

My question is:

• Should I mention my previous rejection in my cover letter/detailed explanation?
• If yes, how should I phrase it to address the issue without sounding defensive?

I’d appreciate any advice from those who have experience with Schengen visa reapplications, especially after a financial reason rejection. Thanks in advance!
