Is the S76 Meerkat Open-Source?

I am looking on the site and literally every other item flexes that its Open-Source and what not. Is it just a rebranded Intel NUC? Or am I missing something? Was planning on picking one up soon, but I figured the trade off for not getting a cheap Intel NUC is I get S76 great support and Linux already compatible. Thanks in advance!
