What do you think of the books compared to the show?

I love both so far, and I’m making my way through book three and have watched the show twice. Please no spoilers, but I’m curious what you guys think of the books compared to the show. The characters for the most part are the same, but so vastly different. Plus Kepnes’s writing is so so captivating, however I feel like the show takes her bones and fleshes them out in a more visually appealing way. What do y’all think?
