Serious do aliens really care about humanity?

We know they have been involved with shutting down nuclear plants but so much death and violence has occurred that they never intervened with. Imagine if NHI had stopped the Holocaust or other world events like wars or genocide.

I really think that they only care about the planet and the planets resources. What does everyone else think?
