About aconversation I had with a Muslim man...
Hello everyone! I had a conversation a few days ago with a Muslim man that bothers me... Where I work there is a co-worker who is Muslim. Most of the time we get along and there is nothing special. One day he told me he was tired from work and he would have more work to do at home. I told him that I understand, because at home you also have to cook and clean, and it's really tiring after work. He looked me in the eyes and told me that "this is women's work". I asked him in confusion "what do you mean?" (I am a woman, btw), and he said It's a job only his wife does and a man shouldn't do it. I felt the anger rising in me and I left the room, just not to yell at him. His wife works full time and takes care of the children but he does not agree to do things at home because it is "women's work". I can't stop thinking about his disdainful look when he said "women's work".
How widespread is this attitude among Muslims?
(I apologize in advance about the English. English is not my mother tongue)
