How to dress baby for changing temps at night?
We live in a small cottage, heated by wood stove. The temp changes a LOT overnight and every time I get up with baby I’m worried she’s either too hot or too cold, which leads to me changing her each time into a different outfit. We often start the night around 78, sometimes even 80F, and wake up to a 68F house.
I don’t mind changing her all night, but it still feels like such a guessing game, and eventually, I’d like to be confident knowing she could sleep longer stretches comfortably.
I’m thinking of getting her some footie PJs or sleep gowns that are merino wool or a merino wool/silk blend— but I don’t know how temperature regulating they actually are (even though all the brands I’m looking at claim to be).
Has anyone else been in this situation? What are your recommendations?
