Renal cat food that is safe from bird flu

I am hearing a lot of new information about bird flu and how certain foods are dangerous to be feeding cats right now. My cat has to be on a prescription diet (currently Purina NF advanced care) for his kidney issues. I was just about to switch him to royal canine’s prescription renal care version but am worried because its main ingredients are chicken. I’m just starting to learn more about bird flu and how it can affect cats, but am curious to learn more about precautions I should be taking since he’s on a prescription. Are canned wet foods safe regardless because they have to be cooked and aren’t raw? Is that even true? Of course I’m going to reach out to his vet with questions and do more research myself, but I want try to learn a little more in the meantime. Any info I should be aware of?
