How about a colonialist/imperialist/isolationist trait?

What if, for exploration era, there was a trait (either for civs or for leaders) that shapes how they play the military and economic legacy paths? Instead of everyone playing a colonial/treasure fleet game, the choices could be:

  • Colonial: distant lands as we know and (maybe) love them
  • Imperial: focused on expansion and conquest in one's home continent
  • Isolation: more focused on maintaining existing territorial integrity instead of expanding anywhere

Would it be too risky with everyone aiming for a different victory? Or would it work like in the Civ V scenarios like Conquest of the New World?
