Should I leave public after drama?
I work in modeling for a large city. My former direct supervisor did no work and passed off mine as his. He got fired. I thought the City was doing the right thing by me. THEN I found out the real reason he got fired: FBI charged him with child porn distribution (I paid for his records on Pacer). I feel disgusted and betrayed. The City is not discussing this - no one knows (supposedly). No one apologized to me. There’s still no one above me but I’m not being promoted. I asked three times. Denied. No one knows I know. I’m talking with a private company now known for great work life balance and values-driven. I’m legitimately interested in the work they do. I have kids so I can’t work long hours (which is why I was in public). Anything else I should consider?
