Jolly Cooperation in 2024?

So, currently, the Nameless King is kicking my ass 6 ways to Sunday, so I'm gonna try and take a break from him for a little while. So, I was just wondering:

How's the online feeling in 2024, and how exactly does one get into it? I've never really touched the online portion of a soulsborne game before, besides maybe some minor bloodborne pvp. But beyond that? Nothing really.

I'd love some advice for how to get into it! Either for invasions or helping people with bosses! I'm currently around the mid-70s level wise, and I'm playing on an Xbox if that has anything to do with what I can do!
