Messenger not showing past shared images and videos. Not sure what else to do.

Hi All, Just had my messages not show all past sent photos and videos. Will show only a few recently sent media and some from about 12 months ago out missing everything sent inbetween. If you scroll through manually they come back, but that would take a while to do! Is there any fix for this? Cheers
