Someone please help me understand.

Was today years old when I realized that no matter what I do to be a good person and be a contributing member of this society my last name always comes up short. Higher education here is a mockery to major educational institutions all over the world. If you look at the data, our people (anyone who is a resident of Guam) are always sold the idea that "Gov Guam" cares. Frankly, they could careless. Guam has been my home for decades. Sadly, my children will probably never know the hurt that our family has been subjected to because of our integrity and loyalty to our church. I have been contemplating as much as running for elected office but even them I'd put my life on it that I may not even be a loud enough voice for our people. My cousin committed himself to Guam behavioral and they refused to let him go. Apparently, He had to wait "72" hours and to see a doctor on a weekday. He was admitted on a Friday. For any lawyer out there, is it legal for them to say (72 hours) is 3 business days or is 72 hours the same as it would be on the moon as my minimal understanding of how a day is calculated since days have been calculated?

Guam didn't just turn out corrupt and inept in the past 20 years. With the advent of technology nothing is really private. The sentiment that Gov Guam will fix itself is false hope or more appropriately, delayed disappointment. The track record is loud and clear.

When Gov Guam wants grants or federal money, they are like a bunch of starving hyenas in front of Wagyu A6 steak. This Government has been one to capitalize on crises, capitalize on chaos and one to beat you even if you're not even trying to get up.

Not that this matters but before I finalize my permanent relocation, does anyone else feel cheated by the same system that taught us to be "part of its agenda" kinda like the old addage, "We can help you, You can help yourself or We can have you replaced."

Sorry guys just mentally, and spiritually exhausted about the whole GDOE charades. My principal says I haven't been performing well but it isn't my fault the learning environment is not adequate for a child who is innocent but only wants hope that society won't leave them behind.

Not my kid, not today, not ever. It all starts at home, sorry Guam. Farewell CNMI, we did our best to give back to the community that gave us everything we have in the sense of being "a good neighbor."

Veteran, Mother and Brother of a mentally disturbed resident of Guam. How can we say "We're family Oriented" when the more I go around family, everyone seems to just get shafted and no one bats an eye.

If all one knows is subsidaries and instant gratification, maybe they'd be as bloated as a lot of these Gov Guam unclassified wanna be "heroes" and "frontliners." (Not hating, just stating facts.)
