The 1915 USGS topo map for the Bellaire Quadrangle of Harris County indicates a “Poor Farm” north of Bissonnet and just West of Edloe St.

I thought this was an interesting listing since there aren’t very many other features in the area when it was farmland. The poor farm is indicated on the 1921 map as well.
