Question about soldering 28ga silver wire

I have a general question for anyone here with experience. I would like to make a superfine chain using 28 gauge sterling silver. If it's just butted rings, I am fraid that they will just pull apart if any stress is put on them. I have had success soldering down to 20 gauge, but those weren't tiny links for a necklace. Will soldering the 28 gauge be possible without it just straightup melting? If so, what type of solder is recommended? Thanks for any help.
