Hmm, I wonder what I could be working on?

Hey all, new here. Big kurowear fan and I'm just discovering this subreddit. I have a good amount of gear but M56 is currently my favorite. Ive always wanted to have one of his helmets but sadly its a little too rich for my blood. So what is a 3d modeling hobbyist with a 3d printer supposed to do in situations like this? Well...I did what we do haha.

As not to infringe on the design of M56 I made sure to make the design different enough to know its not a genuine product of his. However with my design I made the helmet entirely modular! Well...almost, still working on making the back helmet modular. I wanted to make a "platform" to build off of so I can customiza my helmet however I like with any pieces I like.

Each part is secured with M4 hex screws and the faceplate will be removal via magnets. I also plan on integrating electronics for voice modulation, air flow intake/exhaust, a battery pack, and allow enough space for me to wear my XR glasses with the helmet haha.

Its a lot, and maybe I'm biting off more than I can chew, but Im excited to continue building on this!

I'll continue to post updates and pics in this thread in case anyone is interested in seeing how things turn out.

EDIT: Just finished letting the painting and clear coating cure. Assembled the pieces for test fit not bad for eyeballing the design through pictures haha. Everything lined up and screwed in solid and secure. Got some redesigns Im going to do to make the assembly more intuitive as well as make the back of the helmet into its appropriate segments.
