MOOCS

Is completing MOOCs mandatory for obtaining a B.Tech degree from MAKAUT? I heard that it is optional and only required for a B.Tech (Honours) degree. However, in my college, dept. HOD says it is mandatory for the regular B.Tech degree as well.They changed the rule a year ago.Is this true? I'm confused—can someone clarify?
