7800 xt or 7900 xt?

I use my PC for mainly gaming; mostly rpgs.

I am using a 1070 TI and bought a 7800 xt that should be coming at the end of the month. However, seeing all you buy a 7900 xt makes me wonder if I should go for that instead.

Thinking about buying a $700-$800 seems outrageous to me. But if it means it can last 7-8 years, might be worth it.

I will say, I also think the 7800 could last me 7 years.

Thoughts?
