QM7/QM8 Conundrum

UPDATE (1/27): Bought the 75” QM8 today. Holy shit it’s huge! Wider than the 4x2 Ilea cube it’s sitting on. Display bracket seems kinda sketchy…might have to think about a wall mount. Really bright too…gotta look up some calibration settings and I guess, grab the beta fw.

Want to get a new tv for my bedroom as my eyes are going and the 32” TCL is getting harder to see. Figured the lead up to Superbowl is as good time as any. I see BB has the same price ($899) for a 65” QM8 and the 75” QM7.

Question is, which one is the better buy and the better TV. Since they’re the same cost, does the QM8 get me a better picture albeit with a slightly smaller screen? Bedroom is almost always dark so I normally won’t have a glare issue from sunlight. Viewing is mainly sports and streaming tv. Not a gamer or have any plans to connect a PC.

My instincts say to go with the newer set even though it’s a bit smaller. Reviews I’ve watched on the utubes almost always say “save the money”, the difference in PQ is negligible. As there’s no real money to be saved (unless I was to go with a 65” QM7 ($200 less), cost isn’t really a factor.
