Secular Independent Kashmir concept. [ Shikara, Oar, Jhelum]
Shikara:- Works as an "equality before law" symbol, in a shikara balancing weight is especially important due to its narrow and lightweight design.
Shikara in green :- Shikara in the colour green represents the muslim majority, which is, although the main body, cant move forward without the yellow oar
Oar in Yellow:- Oar in the colour yellow represents the minority which together with the green shikara completes the system.
Jhelum in Red:- Jhelum in red is a reference to the blood of martyrs, Specifically to the Incident known as the shikara killings of 1993
As the fire continued to spread through Lal Chowk, a number of locals attempted to escape the flames by fleeing across the Jhelum River in boats. According to eyewitnesses, security personnel gathered on the river bank and opened fire on the boats with machine guns. Some of those on board jumped into the river to escape the firing and drowned. The gunfire continued for at least 30 minutes, and at least 16 bodies were later recovered from the river.
