Is meta quest 2 compatible with older pc

Hi guys i need some advice for vr gaming i never bought one before or even used one but i would love to play pc games on it and i was wondering if meta quest 2 (its the one ican afford right now) can connect to pc for steam games and all and if it can how do i set it up and does it relies on it own storage for gaming or does it uses pc storage I have i 5 4th gen Asus Rx580 Asus h81 motherboard
