Don't focus too much on your diet and calories when first starting out, getting enough protein should be the only thing you can worry about. Instead, focus on your training and getting stronger, that's what will drive muscle growth, not an abundance of calories. If you can get stronger on your current diet, and you feel energized in the gym, there's no need to make any changes as long as your body-weight isn't going up or down drastically.

I think it really depends on what you are starting with. Hourglass figure comes from fat distribution. You can see results in some people if they are a ruler shaper with slight waist definition and developing muscle in the right areas can help. But there are also people who naturally don’t have a lot of fat in their butts or don’t have the space in their mid-section to have a defined waist. My recommendation is to perhaps have a realistic assessment and realise that their a lot of attractive body types out there and it’s not good for your mental health to go against your natural body type.

I'm starting from a point of already having hour glass shape tbh, but I want my waist to be a bit smaller, it is 26inches atm I'd like 24/25 ideally tbh.... plus growing my glutes to balance out the fact I'm actually a top-heavy hour glass which kinda bothers me. I defo want to work with what I've got and focus on realistic ways of improving mysel, as well as learning to eat to fuel myself... idk why I find it so hard to figure out what to eat alongside excersing!
